Any type of franchise, large or small requires an occasional business trip. What follows is one of mine. Everything went wrong. Thank goodness.

The 9 to 5 isn’t working, and you are tired of dealing with your boss. The mundane tasks are boring, and you are craving more responsibility. You have decided to take control of your life and make an investment in your future by purchasing a franchise. This is no small undertaking. You understand the potential risks and obligations as a franchise owner and realize they are worth it to achieve success. You know what you want; now decide what you want to do.

What are the advantages of a franchise? Simply put, purchasing a franchise greatly increases your odds of success.
Must you purchase a franchise to be successful? Of course not. You may have considerable success starting a business without the aid and assistance of a franchisor. However, you must have a strong sense of what it is you want to do, research how to go about it, have the necessary capital to invest, the willingness to accept risk, the tenacity, time and patience it takes to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. But for most people, the history lesson is clear: Most small businesses fail. Most franchises succeed.

Relationships in business are just as important as in your personal life. The best relationships work when both parties give without expecting gain, or a givers gain. Using this method, the franchisor and franchisee will build a win-win relationship. In a franchise, the franchisee and franchisor invest in that relationship because they have a common goal of success. Working together will help your franchise be successful. If one franchisee is successful it generates success for the organization and the other franchisees.
