I have been a business owner for a long time and have sold hundreds of franchises. Periodically, I have friends, neighbors or acquaintances approach me and ask for my opinion on various business-related matters. I am happy to help if I can.

Franchise your business. Virtually every business owner has contemplated franchising. Most business models have been franchised successfully. Can you franchise your business? Probably. The more important question, I think, is: "Is franchising right for you?"

Acquiring a franchise is a process. A perspective franchisee will generally ask a number of franchisors for an initial information packet. He or she will likely follow up with additional questions and ask for a “Disclosure Document.” If he or she is still interested, the franchisor will likely invite them to attend a “Discovery Day.”
